Inlay & Onlay インレー・オンレー

Inlays are usually needed when the decay inside the tooth is large and deep but has not yet reached the nerve. Unlike fillings, which use composite resin to fill the space, inlays are made from a dental mold using a hard material such as porcelain, ceramic, or gold to fit precisely into the open space. Inlays do not shrink or stain, last considerably longer, and are aesthetically appealing.

Onlays are used to restore the majority of a tooth. While inlays and fillings cover the inside of the tooth and the area between the teeth, onlays cover one or more of the tooth's fangs. Like inlays, onlays require two visits to the office because a dental mold must be taken and sent to the lab to be made.

インレーは通常、歯の内部の虫歯が大きく深いけれども、まだ神経に到達していない場合に必要となります。コンポジットレジン（複合材料）を使ってスペースを埋める詰め物とは異なり、インレーでは、空いたスペースに正確にフィットするように、ポーセレン、セラミック、ゴールドなどの固い材料を使用し歯型を取って作ります。インレーは収縮や染みがなく、かなり長い期間持ちこたえ、審美的にも魅力的です。

オンレーは歯の大部分を修復するために使用されます。インレーや詰め物が歯の内側の歯と歯の間の部分をカバーするのに対し、オンレーは歯の1本以上の歯牙をカバーします。インレーと同様、オンレーも歯型を取りラボに送ってお作りしていただかないといけない為、通院が２回必要となります。
